Why does simply rinsing with water
not solve the biofilm problem?
In the logistics and transport industry, microorganisms can persist on transport surfaces, in enclosed spaces, ventilation systems, containers, cold storage, and transshipment zones. Standard cleaning often fails to cover the entire operational area and hard-to-reach places. EHT disinfection utilising ClO₂ technology and ULV fogging supports effective microbiological control of vehicles, transport spaces, and logistics infrastructure.
Why is standard disinfection not always sufficient?
In production environments, microorganisms can develop:
- in biofilm,
- technological systems,
- CIP area,
- in structural gaps,
- and in hard-to-reach areas for standard cleaning.
Surface disinfection often eliminates only the visible problem, without removing the source of microbiological contamination.
The EHT technology, based on ClO₂ and ULV fogging, effectively covers both surfaces and production spaces in the disinfection process, reducing the risk of recontamination.
Standard disinfection
It operates primarily on a spot basis and may not cover vehicle interiors, containers, refrigerated units, ventilation systems, cargo spaces, and areas outside the reach of manual application.
Disinfection
EHT
It uses ClO₂ technology and ULV fogging, enabling uniform disinfection of large spaces, vehicles, containers, and logistics infrastructure.
Every industry faces different challenges. We tailor our solutions accordingly.
Transport vehicles and semi-trailers
Transport spaces, semi-trailers, lorries, and refrigerated transport can carry microorganisms between subsequent transports, increasing the risk of secondary contamination.
Animal transport
Vehicles, loading ramps, contact surfaces and transition zones require particular microbiological control to support biosecurity and limit the risk of pathogen spread.
Containers and sea freight
The confined spaces of containers, humidity, and variable transport conditions can encourage the growth of microorganisms and secondary contamination of cargo surfaces.
Cold stores and foodstuff transport
Cold rooms, contact surfaces, and loading zones require stable hygiene to support food safety and the durability of transported products.
Logistics centres and warehouses
Warehouses, loading docks, picking zones and workstations are high-operational flow areas where microorganisms can easily spread.
Difficult-to-access spaces
ULV technology allows for the disinfection of vehicle interiors, containers, large volumes, ventilation systems, and infrastructure elements beyond the reach of standard manual application.
Aviation and support infrastructure
Loading and unloading zones, technical backrooms, warehouses, and service areas require disinfection that is tailored to the work.
What are the benefits of EHT technology?
Risk limitation of contamination in the supply chain: EHT disinfection helps reduce the risk of secondary transport contamination, cross-contamination between transports and the spread of microorganisms.
A higher level of sanitary safety: Surface microbiology control, transport spaces, and logistics infrastructure support sanitary compliance and the safety of transported products.
Effective disinfection of large spaces and vehicles: ULV fogging allows for the even distribution of disinfectant in trailers, containers, cold stores, warehouses and enclosed spaces.
Biosecurity transport support for animals: This process helps to limit the risk of spreading biological hazards such as ASF, avian influenza, Salmonella, and other pathogens related to animal transport.
Reduced risk of secondary infections and contamination: Disinfection of contact surfaces, ramps, loading areas, and transport spaces limits contamination sources in subsequent transport stages.
Better protection of food products: The microbiological control of cold stores, containers, and storage areas supports food safety, product shelf-life, and reduces the risk of losses.
Process tailored for the object's operation: We select the disinfection technology and parameters based on the type of transport, the size of the space, the level of risk, and the operational requirements of the facility.
Modern microbiology control for logistics infrastructure: ClO₂ and ULV technology support the maintenance of hygiene in vehicles, warehouses, containers, cold stores, and high-traffic operational areas.
What does the EHT microbiological testing process involve?
Risk and production environment analysis
We assess the level of microbiological hazards, critical areas and places with increased risk of biofilm development.
Selection of technology and process parameters
We design a disinfection process tailored to the type of installation, the nature of production, and the operational requirements of the plant.
Disinfection process implementation
We carry out professional disinfection of surfaces and spaces using ClO₂ and ULV technology.
Effectiveness check and recommendations
We are verifying the effectiveness of the process and preparing recommendations to support the maintenance of high production hygiene standards.
Disinfection is a reaction.
Microbiological control is a strategy.
Disinfection as an emergency measure
Implemented in case of:
- detection of contamination,
- quality problems,
- recurrence of micro-organisms,
- the need for rapid production safeguarding.
The aim of the process is to mitigate the threat and restore safe production conditions.
Preventative disinfection
Implemented in case of:
- detection of contamination,
- quality problems,
- recurrence of micro-organisms,
- the need for rapid production safeguarding.
The aim of the process is to mitigate the threat and restore safe production conditions.
Modern disinfection is not just about reacting. It's about building an environment where microbiological threats have limited opportunities to develop.

FAQ
You most often ask
Why is disinfection important in logistics and transport?
In the logistics industry, even a single contamination can affect the safety of transported products, operational continuity, sanitation compliance, and the security of the entire supply chain.
Which spaces can be disinfected?
Disinfection may include transport vehicles, trailers, refrigerated units, containers, transport spaces, warehouses, loading ramps, picking zones and ventilation systems.
Does EHT technology work for transporting animals?
Yes. Disinfection of animal transport vehicles, ramps, contact surfaces, and transition zones supports biosecurity and limits the risk of pathogen spread.
What microbiological hazards occur in logistics and transport?
The most common include secondary transport contaminations, biofilm on surfaces, environmental bacteria, Salmonella, Listeria, environmental viruses, and pathogens associated with animal transport.
What does ULV fogging offer in logistics?
ULV technology allows for the uniform disinfection of large volumes, vehicle interiors, containers, cold stores, and hard-to-reach areas, supporting the sanitary safety of transport and logistics infrastructure.
